Your website project, managed by someone who gets it right.
Commissioning a website without technical knowledge is genuinely risky. Agencies and developers know you cannot fully evaluate what they deliver. I act as your expert representative, managing the brief, reviewing the work and ensuring the agency delivers what you actually paid for.
You are spending serious money on a website. Who is checking the agency is delivering?
Most businesses commissioning a website have no technical benchmark to evaluate what they receive. The agency knows this. Without someone checking scope, quality, SEO foundations, page speed and functionality at every stage, it is very easy to receive a website that looks acceptable but is fundamentally flawed underneath.
Common problems I find when reviewing websites that have already launched:
I act as your expert representative throughout the project.
I work on your side. My job is to make sure the agency or developer you have hired delivers what was agreed, to the standard it should be. I review work at every stage, flag issues before they become expensive problems, and ensure you receive a website that actually performs.
Think of it as having a technically literate, commercially experienced client-side project manager who knows web design, SEO, performance and security, and who has no incentive to let substandard work through.
What is covered:
- Brief and scope review
- Supplier selection advice
- Milestone sign-off reviews
- SEO foundations audit
- Page speed and performance check
- Mobile and browser testing
- Form and functionality testing
- Security and hosting review
- Content and copy review
- Analytics and tracking setup check
- Pre-launch approval checklist
- Post-launch monitoring
A website delivered on scope, on time and to the technical standard you paid for. Problems caught during the build, not after launch when they are expensive to fix.
What I do at each stage of your website project.
Brief and supplier review
If you have not yet hired an agency, I review their proposal and quote. I identify scope gaps, red flags and anything that should be clarified before you sign a contract. If you already have a supplier, I audit the brief and agree what checkpoints I will review.
Design review
When the agency delivers initial designs, I review them against the brief: conversion rate optimisation, mobile layout, brand consistency, user journey and calls to action. I give you specific, actionable feedback to take back to the agency.
Development stage review
Mid-build review of the staging site. I check page speed, SEO setup, mobile rendering, form functionality, navigation and accessibility basics. Problems at this stage cost a fraction of what they cost to fix post-launch.
Pre-launch technical audit
Full technical review before the site goes live. This covers everything on the pre-launch checklist: analytics, Search Console, sitemap, robots.txt, redirects, SSL, form testing, browser testing, image optimisation and page speed.
Launch day oversight
Available on launch day to review the live site, confirm everything transferred correctly, check redirects are working and confirm Google Search Console has been updated. Most issues on launch day are avoidable with proper preparation.
Post-launch review
Two weeks after launch, I check the site is being indexed correctly, analytics is recording data accurately and no issues have emerged from live traffic. Written summary provided.
What clients say.
"Searching for website designers gave us a long list to choose from, but we're so glad we found Richard at Harrison Mann. He's been incredibly helpful with digital marketing advice and support, and thanks to him, we've now got a solid plan in place to boost footfall at both of our salons."

"We wanted more control over our website, as we'd been relying on another agency to make updates. Being able to change content ourselves quickly was important, and the custom WordPress website now lets us do just that. The new site has already helped boost our sales."

"After opening our new flooring showroom, I knew we needed a strong online presence. Finding the right website designer in Bradford made all the difference. We now have a great site that shows up locally for the keywords our customers are searching. It's the little percentage improvements that the team have really helped us with, we're already seeing more people coming through the doors."
